Dashboard Overview
The HelloSMS Dashboard is your central hub for managing your account, communication campaigns, and contact data. It provides a clear overview and direct access to all key messaging features, enabling you to check your balance, compose messages, manage contacts, and review performance with ease.
The dashboard layout and available actions may vary depending on your account status (test account or paying account) and your assigned user role.

1. Global Controls (Top Bar)
The controls bar at the top of the interface provides quick ways to personalize your experience and access key information.
- Language Selection: To change the platform language, click the globe icon and select your preferred language.
- Profile Access: Select your username in the top-right corner to view and edit your personal settings.
2. Quick Actions
Use these shortcuts for your most frequent tasks:
- Send New SMS: Jump directly to the SMS composer for fast outreach.
- Manage Contact Lists: Open your contact groups for review or update.
- Top Up Balance: Go to payment options to add SMS credits.
3. Account Overview
This section presents core metrics and direct links to relevant management pages:
- SMS Balance: Shows your remaining credits and links to the Top up balance area for quick action.
- SMS Sent Last Month: Displays your recent usage volume and links to See report for deeper insights.
- Contact Lists: Indicates the number of segmented contact groups. Click View all to see or edit all lists.
- Phone Numbers: Lists all your assigned/dedicated SMS numbers with a shortcut to Manage phone numbers.
4. Getting Started with HelloSMS
If you are a new user, use this guided checklist to quickly onboard:
- Send Your First SMS: Walkthrough or shortcut to launch your initial message.
- Create Your First Contact List: Instructions and direct access to import or add contacts.
- Explore Features: Suggestions on features worth checking out next, such as SMS Templates.
5. Primary Navigation (Left Sidebar)
The left-hand vertical menu organizes all tools and functions into logical categories.
You may see more or fewer options than shown here depending on your assigned user role. See User Roles and Permissions for more information about permissions.
Send and Receive SMS
Everything you need to create, send, and track your messages.
- New Message: Compose and send single or group messages on demand.
- Conversations: Review two-way SMS threads that mimic phone-like texting experiences.
- Campaigns: Review all group messages sent from your account, checking the delivery status, total recipients, and campaign details for each one.
- Scheduled: List, review, or delete scheduled messages (editing requires deletion and rescheduling).
- Phonebook: Add or update individual contacts and customize fields for personalization.
- Templates: Save commonly-used message formats for quick reuse.
Features
Tools for managing contacts, analyzing performance, and configuring your campaigns.
- Contact Lists: Create, edit, import, or copy segmented recipient groups.
- Reports: Access analytics on delivery, credit usage, and campaign performance.
- Blocked Numbers: Control opt-out/blocked lists to stay compliant and prevent unwanted sends.
- Phone Numbers: Manage your dedicated sending numbers, including purchasing or allocating numbers by country.
- My Senders: Set up sender IDs and phone numbers.
Account
Manage your settings, billing, and team access here.
This section is only available for admin users. See User Roles and Permissions for more information about permissions.
- Account & Payment: Review payment methods, view invoices, and check transaction history.
- Account Settings: Adjust user profile, sender defaults, low-balance alerts, and message/content settings.
- Users: Add or manage team members, set roles/permissions.
- API: View integration keys and get documentation for programmatic SMS sending.
The dashboard brings all your essential tools and data together in one place, making it easier to run your campaigns and manage your account.
