View and Analyze Campaigns

HelloSMS Campaigns send a single SMS message to a large group of recipients. This functionality makes campaigns the ideal tool for SMS marketing or mass notifications.

Campaign messages do not automatically show up in the Conversations page unless a recipient replies. See Read and Reply to SMS in Conversations to learn more about replying to messages.

You can create an SMS campaign directly from the New SMS composer view when you select a contact list. See Send an SMS to learn more.

Follow these steps to view campaign details:

  1. Open the Campaigns page. All campaigns will appear on a list.
  2. Click on a campaign to review it.

Select View Complete Recipient List to view a full list of all recipients for that campaign, including the individual delivery status (e.g., delivered, failed). You can also search for a specific number within the list.

  3. Scroll down to campaign details to see an overview of the message sent (text, date, recipients) and core statistics:
    • Sent Messages: The total number of unique recipients the message was sent to.
    • Delivery Statistics: An overview of how many messages were successfully delivered versus how many failed, which helps you maintain your contact list quality and troubleshoot issues. Possible statuses are:

Status

Meaning

Delivered / Success

The message was successfully sent to the recipient's phone. You don't need to do anything.

Pending

The message has not yet been delivered. This may happen if a phone number is invalid or no longer exists, or if the message was sent to an unsupported region. Review these numbers for errors or remove them from future contact lists.

Failed

The message could not be delivered to the recipient. The number may no longer exist. Review the number for errors or consider removing it from future lists to maintain list quality.

    • Link-shortening metrics: If you added link shortening when creating your message, you can also track and report how many unique individuals clicked the link.

This comprehensive view helps you monitor and manage your mass communications effectively.
