Send Your First Test SMS

To quickly start using HelloSMS, follow these steps to send your first test message in minutes.

  1. Go to the New SMS page to begin creating your first message.
  2. In the Phone number field under Choose who to send to, type in a phone number for testing. You can send the message to yourself if you want.

  3. Select the desired sender identity in the Sender field. This is the name or number your recipients will see.

    Choose Phone number (default) to quickly test sending a message using your account’s main number. You can change the sender later if needed.

  4. In Subject for your own use, give this item a private name or tag (e.g., "Test 1") so it's easy for you to track in your records. This subject won't be visible to the recipient.
  5. In Write your text here, enter your message. Use the Preview panel on the right to confirm the final look.
  6. Once you're ready to send, click Send SMS. A confirmation box will pop up showing you the total estimated cost in credits.
  7. Click Send message to send it right away.

Success! HelloSMS sent your message.

If you used your phone number as the recipient, check your phone for the message. You can manage any reply in the Conversations area.
