Send Your First Campaign

Once you have a contact list ready, you can send an SMS campaign to multiple recipients at the same time. Campaigns are ideal for announcements, promotions, and time-sensitive messages.

Before you start

Ensure you have at least one contact list available.

Campaign messages can only be sent to contact lists. If you don’t have one yet, see Create Your First Contact List.

Follow these steps to send your first campaign in HelloSMS:

  1. From the main menu, select New Message. This opens the message composer for creating a campaign.
  2. Enter an internal Subject. This helps you identify the campaign later and is not shown to recipients.

  3. Select the contact list you want to send the campaign to. The selected recipients appear automatically in the recipients section.

    If you don’t want to use an existing contact list, select Create a Temporary list to build a temporary recipient group for this campaign only. One-time lists are not saved for future use.

  4. Write your message in Write your text here.

    As you type, the message composer shows how many SMS segments your message uses and the estimated credit cost.

  5. (Optional) Adjust sending options, such as scheduling the message for a future date and time.
  6. Select Send Message.
  7. Review the campaign details.
  8. Click Send message to confirm and send the SMS to your recipients. If you have enough credits, the campaign is sent to all recipients in the selected contact list.

After sending, replies from recipients appear in the Campaigns section.
