Account Settings Overview

The Account Settings page gives you full control over how your HelloSMS account behaves. From here, you can adjust messaging rules, define contact and list preferences, and manage privacy-related options in a clear, structured layout.

All settings are grouped by purpose, making it easier to review, update, and save changes without losing progress.

Access Account Settings

To open your account settings:

  1. Open your HelloSMS dashboard.
  2. Select Account Settings from the main navigation. The settings page opens with a tabbed layout at the top.

Tabbed Settings Layout

Account Settings are organized into four tabs to improve clarity and navigation.

General

Use the General tab to manage basic account information, such as:

  • Account name
  • Default timezone
  • General configuration details

Messaging

Use the Messaging tab to configure how SMS messages behave across your account.

You can manage settings such as:

  • SMS delivery behavior
  • Final Send Time (message expiry)
  • Reply timeout configuration

Contacts & Lists

Use the Contacts & Lists tab to define default behavior for your contact data.

From here, you can manage:

  • Contact list defaults
  • Temporary (one-time) lists
  • List-related preferences

Privacy & Data

Use the Privacy & Data tab to control how account data is handled.

This tab includes options related to:

  • Data retention
  • Privacy preferences
  • Compliance-related settings

Save and Reset Actions

At the top of the page, you always have access to:

  • Save: Applies all changes.
  • Reset: Restores the last saved configuration.

These controls ensure you stay in full control of your updates.
